ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS

Alcoholism and other addictions affect many families.  Because we care and want to help, St. James Parish hosts an open meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous each Thursday at 8:00 pm in the Parish Center Family Room.  The meeting is called the Step Lively Meeting and is non-smoking.  It is a “step” meeting.  One step of the AA Twelve Step Program is read.  Discussion follows.  There is coffee and fellowship.  Our family room is curtained, so a level of privacy is maintained.  Everyone is welcome to come whether or not they are alcoholic.  The AA meeting is a safe place to start or continue the healing process.

St. James priests and pastoral ministers are available to assist families with taking  the first steps toward recovery and locating community services as needed.  Please call the rectory at 572-0499.
