Our senior high youth group meets on Wednesday nights from 7:30—9:00 in the newly renovated Youth Center. The group covers many topics, including current issues, faith questions, Scripture and prayer. It is also a great place to meet new friends.

Adults are encouraged and welcome to join in this ministry, and the diocese of Omaha offers excellent youth ministry training.

Spiritual The James GANG attends the National Catholic Youth Conference, Archdiocese Youth Rally, holds retreats, a Seder meal, and Participates in Eucharistic Adoration and Teens Encounter Christ. Youth are invited to be Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, and Ushers to serve our parish at Mass.

Youth Choir The Youth Choir sings at the Youth Mass on the first Sunday of the month at 11:30 and rehearses on Thursdays at 7:00 pm in the Church Rehearsal Room. This group is always looking to add instruments and singers. We lead contemporary and upbeat music.

Service Projects The James G.A.N.G. is involved in various service activities. They have helped with the parish’s Truck-a-thon, served at the Sienna Francis House, Christmas caroled at a Retirement Home and sponsored a Parents' Night Out. They have participated in the Souper Bowl of Caring and held a penny war to benefit Youth Emergency Services.

Social Activities The youth group has sponsored hayrack rides, movie nights and game nights, lock-ins, a yearly trip to Worlds of Fun, and much more.

Leadership Members of the youth group form the Core Team to plan events and give input to adult leaders. Members also can attend the Archdiocese's Christian Leadership Institute.

The Rev. James V. Brown, OAR, Youth Center is located at 9124 Tomahawk Blvd. The Youth Center is on the east side of the Tomahawk driveway of the St. James church.
