Monday of the Fourth Week Ordinary Time

Reading and Reflection

Reading 1:   2 Samuel 15:13-14, 30; 16:5-13
Responsorial Psalm:   Psalm 3:2-3, 4-5, 6-7
Gospel:   Mark 5:1-20

God has been so good to all of us.   Think of all the hardships, tragedies, illnesses that we have gotten through along with all the graces that sustained us.   Think, too, of the many blessings we have received.   Surely we can   “Go home to (y)our family and announce to them
all that the Lord in his pity has done for you.”   In this sense, "pity", is understood as duty or responsibility.   It is God's responsibility to create and care for us, ours to respond.   As we approach Lent, let us do a quick life review and thank God for the graces received and decide how we can announce to the world all that God has done for us.

Reminder:   Rice Bowls are in the Narthex with great suggestions for Lenten sacrifices.   Lenten regulations are in this week's Good News along with times for Ash Wednesday and most Lenten activities.

The readings can be accessed at  http://www.usccb.org/nab/020408.shtml This is an easy click to the daily readings.  Use the back button on your browser to return to the reflection.    We continue to build this ministry and pray for parishioners to contribute monthly.
