Overflow Youth Ministry is a combined effort by both St. James and St. Elizabeth Ann parishes to provide faith-building experiences for teens in the parishes.  Overflow Youth Ministry includes the Overflow High School Youth Group, YOUTH HOUSE Wednesdays, Retreats, Conferences, and Discipleship Groups.  default 2016 Overflow Youth Ministry Calendar!

Overflow High School Youth Group

Meets every other Sunday at St. Elizabeth Ann from 6:30 - 9pm.

Youth Center

Meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the Fr. Brown Youth Center, 9124 Tomahawk Blvd. from 7-9pm.  Come join us for a mid-week break from all the stresses of school!

Each fall and spring, teens head off-site for a retreat led by youth ministry volunteers from the parish. These retreats provide an opportunity to grow closer to God through prayer, the Sacraments, praise and worship, and fun activities.

Teens have the opportunity to join other Catholic teens from around the country at conferences such asthe Steubenville Youth Conference each summer and NCYC every other November.  For information on how to sign up for these thrilling and memorable events, contact Hannah Keisling.

Teens who wish to grow deeper in their faith meet twice a month in discipleship groups led by youth ministry volunteers from the parish.  These groups discuss the Catholic faith related to teen's lives and current issues that all teens face. Discipleship groups also do volunteering in the parish and community throughout the year as events come up.  To start a discipleship group of your own, or to volunteer to lead one, contact Hannah Keisling.

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young,
but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in faith, and in purity.”
~ 1 Timothy 4:12

Fundraising The James GANG has several fund raising activities which help send youth and leaders to Conferences and Retreats throughout the year.  These fundraisers include selling desserts and pop at fish fries

Other activities have included a progressive dinner, helping build the Little Town of Bethlehem, and retreats!

HOW DO I GET INVOLVED? We welcome new members to join any group at any time.  If you have questions, wish to volunteer, or want to be contacted about one of these groups, please call.  Adults are encouraged and welcome to join in this ministry as spiritual leaders and role models for the teens.
