Jesus’ Way to Cross and Tomb: A Visual Tour

During Holy Week, Christians remember Jesus’ journey to the cross and empty tomb, as recounted in the Gospels. To enrich our Holy Week reflection on Jesus’ final hours, this presentation combines comment on the Gospel passion accounts, artistic representations of Jesus’ passion, and photos of a scale-model of the Second Temple Jerusalem.

These will illumine the various episodes of Jesus’ passion, including their likely location within ancient Jerusalem, as well as the political dynamics and cultural meanings at work in the historical events and in the Gospel passion accounts. The presentation by Susan Calef, PhD., New Testament professor at Creighton University, takes place Monday, March 26, 6:30-8:30 p.m., at the Servite Center of Compassion, 7400 Military Ave. Freewill offering.
