First Reconcilation/Communion

First Communion is usually celebrated after Easter for our second graders in the 5 day school, home schools and PRE Program.

First Reconciliation is usually celebrated in December. God bless our second graders and their families who prepare for these important Sacraments diligently.   There will be a meeting for parents and second graders about First Reconciliation on Sunday, September 24 at 2 pm in SEA's Parish Center.   If you are unable to come, the meeting will be repeated on Tuesday, September 26 at 6:30 pm in SEA Church.   Childcare will be offered on both days in SEA's nursery for siblings of the second graders.   This meeting is for parents and second graders from both parishes and includes those with their own home schools and those who send their children to the five day school or the PRE program.

Please have your child practice the Act of Contrition. Our students use an Act of Contrition written by St. John Paul II: It is a wonderful prayer to say at the end of the day.  If your child is not able to memorize the prayer, it would be very good if he/she could read it fluently.

My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. In choosing to do wrong, and failing to do good, I have sinned against You whom I should love above all things. I firmly intend, with your help, to do penance, to sin no more, and to avoid whatever leads me to sin. Our Savior, Jesus Christ suffered and died for us. In His name, my God have mercy.  Amen.
