OVERFLOW Youth MInistry

Overflow Youth Ministry is a combined effort by both St. James and St. Elizabeth Ann parishes to provide faith-building experiences for teens in the parishes.  Overflow Youth Ministry includes the Overflow High School Youth Group, Middle School Overflow (grades 6-8), Retreats and Conferences.

High School Overflow meets on Sunday evenings at the St. Elizabeth Ann Social Hall from 6:30pm - 9:00pm on the dates listed below.  All teens are welcome from grades 9 - 12, and 8th graders recently confirmed.  Each night is meant to give teens an opportunity to ENCOUNTER Jesus through prayer as well as time to meet in small groups and apply the Gospel to their daily lives.

"Make or Break" High School and Middle School retreat

The goal of this retreat is to move participants from “lukewarm” to a deeper, more active faith commitment in four key areas of their lives: personal prayer, chastity, public worship (Liturgy of the Eucharist) and living in the world. Registration forms can be found in the documents portion of this page, and can be turned in at the St. James Parish office. The retreat for high school students is two days, March 30th and 31st, and a one day retreat for middle school students, March 31st.

Overflow Adult Core Members
Parish volunteers serve in several areas of ministry including evangelization, catechesis, social justice and music ministry. Through regular involvement and commitment to regular activities, these volunteers provide leadership, support, knowledge of church teaching and the ministering presence of Christ to the teenagers of the parish.

Youth Ministry Support
Providing support to key parish ministry efforts, these volunteers provide guided assistance “behind the scenes” in serving the overall goals of parish youth ministry. These invaluable supporters give time and talent to activities such as providing snacks for the night time meetings, providing assistance for special events and prayer ministry.
