Melodrama/Olio 2019

2019 is our 44th Production!
Show dates – February 15, 16, 17 and 21, 22, 23, 2019

When the holidays are over and the boredom of winter sets in, come join this great group of parishioners preparing for our 2019 show. The Olio (musical revue) wants you, even if the only place you sing is in the shower. If you‘ve been told that you have two left feet, we still believe that you can dance! Or would you like to try being someone else for six weeks? Then audition for the Melodrama (play).

The Melodrama, IT’S ALL RELATIVE or Where There’s a Will There’s a Way is set in a Frank Lloyd Wright mansion in the mountains of Pennsylvania. The reading of Celia Templeton‘s will brings together numerous odd and contentious relatives, whose greedy interactions are often hilarious. The Olio, Urban Legends, features songs that take us to the streets and even to the alleys of cities. The urban areas might not be named, but through song and dance, you‘ll recognize them as places you‘ve been or would like to go.

SAVE THE DATE! Sunday, November 18 at St. James Parish Center, Sign-ups for the Olio are from 2:00 to 3:30. Auditions for the Melodrama begin at 2:30. (Remember that you must be a registered member of St. James or St. Elizabeth Ann Parish and be out of high school.)
