Lectors are immersed in the Word of God by their commitment to regularly read the weekend Scriptures and Gospel in their preparation to "proclaim the Word" both by their lives and at their scheduled liturgies. The Lector Minister is the "herald of the Good News of Christ" proclaiming the Sacred Scriptures at liturgical services. Archdiocesan training is offered in August with mandation in November.
