Arthur A. Schlichting, 76, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, in Bennington, Nebraska.

Arthur was born on December 28, 1949, in Oakland, Nebraska, to Arthur and Adella Schlichting. He spent his life devoted to his family and was known for his kind heart, quiet strength, and love of the outdoors.

Arthur found great joy in fishing and hunting, but nothing meant more to him than spending time with his family. He cherished every moment with his children, grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Emmett, who was a constant companion.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jan Schlichting; his son, Chris Camp and wife Megan, and their daughter, Adalynn; his daughter, Angela Keil and husband Jeremy, and their son, Dakota; his sister, Dianne Schlichting; and his brother, Ron Schlichting.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Adella Schlichting, and his brother, Rodney Schlichting.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Omaha, NE. Mass at 10:30 a.m. with luncheon immediately afterward.

Arthur will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His love for his family, his appreciation for the outdoors, and the memories he created with those closest to him will forever remain in their hearts. May he rest in eternal peace.
