May 30, 1936 - August 12, 2026

Richard P. Stone was born on a farm in Wood Lake, Nebraska. His family later moved to Omaha, where he attended South High School and graduated in 1955.

At the age of 16, Richard began working at Epson Lithographing, a job his father helped him secure, and he went on to dedicate many years of service there before retiring in 1996. In 1960, he married Carol Jakub, and together they had four children. In 1975, he married Dinny Kleidosty, and they shared 51 happy years together.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine and Raymond Stone.

He is survived by his wife, Mary “Dinny” Stone; his children, Christine (JR) Robley, Ron Stone, Cathy Stone-Jackson, and Ray Stone; his grandchildren, Jenni Wiig, Lisa (Greg) Hanson, Eric Wiig, and Corey Stone; and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Robert, Rodney, and Ryan (Suzanne); his sister, Karen (Chuck) Huss; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

 He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

VIGIL SERVICE: Tuesday, August 25, 2026, 7:00 PM with VISITATION beginning at 5:00 PM at West Center Chapel, 7805 West Center Road, Omaha.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Wednesday, August 26, 2026, 10:30 AM, St. James Catholic Church, 4710 N. 90th St., Omaha.
